Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £0.9089 GBP
1 €UR = $1.0887 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1002 €UR
$1 USD = 0.9185 €UR

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the
Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Final stamps bearing the Queen's head revealed

The last set of new stamps showing the late Queen's head are being issued by Royal Mail, featuring the centenary of the Flying Scotsman steam locomotive.

This marks the end of an era, with this familiar version of Queen Elizabeth II's silhouette having appeared on special stamps since 1968.

These final stamps of the Elizabethan era can be ordered from Tuesday, and will go on general release next week.

Future commemorative stamps will show a silhouette of King Charles III.

'Britain's loneliest dog' still looking for a forever home after 500 days in kennels

A dog at kennels in Somerset has been looking for a forever home for 500 days.

Charlie, a crossbreed, came to RSPCA Brent Knoll Animal Centre in Somerset in September 2021 after being abused by his previous owner.

The nine-year-old, who the rescue centre describes as a "cracking dog" and "very playful", is looking for loving and patient owners to snuggle up on the sofa with.
