Nike awkwardly misspells own logo on a pair of Ancient Greece-themed trainers

People are furious after Nike awkwardly misspelled its own brand name on a new pair of Ancient Greek-themed trainers. A petition has been set up to urge the brand to remove the trainers from sale

...the lettering on the back of the shoe, which looks like it says Nike in English letters, actually spells 'piks' in Greek.

The correct spelling of the logo in Greek would be NIKH.

Lockdown easing in England delayed to 19 July

The final stage of easing lockdown restrictions in England is to be delayed for four weeks until 19 July, the prime minister has confirmed.

It means most remaining curbs on social contact will continue beyond 21 June, when they had been due to be lifted.
