A wonky-legged German Shepherd who stole the hearts of many around the world has undergone an “amazing transformation” to straighten his legs.

Bow-legged Sandy was brought to Cambridge from Greece after an appeal by an animal charity and generous donations from people around the world.

He was thought to have had a nutritional problem which meant his front legs were extremely bowed.

But Sandy now boasts a straight pair of front legs thanks to the kindness of a team of vets at Companion Care in Cambridge.

That is great to hear. But I wonder how many Greek shepherds have untreated wonky legs.
