Former conservative MP convicted of paying minors for sex

Former New Democracy lawmaker Nikos Georgiadis received a 28-month suspended prison sentence on Tuesday and was fined 20,000 euros after being found guilty by an Athens court of repeatedly paying minors for sex.

The three-member court voted two-to-one in favor of his conviction with no mitigating circumstances.

According to the indictment, Georgiadis paid minors aged 15 and above for sex during trips to Moldavia.

The prime minister’s office said in a statement that members of ND had supported Georgiadis throughout the trial and that apart from being a conservative lawmaker, he was also a close aide to party leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Hadrian's Wall archaeologists discover rude graffiti, pictures of Roman quarrymen who built it

A collection of ‘selfies’ inscribed on an ancient quarry in Cumbria has revealed for the first time the faces of the men who helped build Hadrian’s Wall.

Archaeologists discovered the faces - along with a figure of a penis - carved into the face of a long abandoned quarry at Gelt Woods, from which stone to build part of the Roman wall was hewed.

The two shallow relief busts of the men were discovered alongside written inscriptions describing the project to supply stone for the 73-mile long defensive wall, which marked the northern frontier of the Roman empire.

Heard Trip Advisor has voted two of Kef's beaches (Myrtos and Petani) to be among best 10 in Greece. Some people really need to get out more.

The BBC and ITV have confirmed that plans are underway for a joint UK streaming service.

The two broadcasters are ”in the concluding phase” of talks with regards launching the service, which will be named BritBox.

Others, such as Channel 4 and Channel 5, are expected to join the service, which aims to put British releases in one place and will potentially act as a rival to Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Very nice to look at from a distance (High up on the road)but lethal for family swimming especially when it gets a bit blustery. Both shelve quite dramatically. I wouldn't let my kids in there. We made them sit up from the edge and had great fun just letting the water splash over us once it had broken and even then you had to keep firm hold of them as the under tow could be strong. I have seen grown ups going in and before you knew it they were off their feet and under.Seen elderly people go under so what could happen to children. Think there are far "safer" beaches. They may not look as dramatic and picturesque  but at least are safe. Give me good old Mounda !!!View is lovely .Go out yards and it doesn't come up to your essentials!!!And if you are lucky you can have it to yourselves.
