India's love affair with classic British motorbikes

Classic British motorbike maker BSA announced last month the brand was being revitalised under its Indian billionaire owner, continuing a growing trend.

Another famous British bike brand - Norton - was taken over by an Indian firm earlier this year with equally ambitious growth plans.

They follow in the footsteps of the historic Royal Enfield, which is enjoying success under new Indian ownership.

Minor change to the 13033 codes following New Years Eve:

You can send an SMS from your cell phone to 13033 free of charge.

The SMS must be in the form of:

X, name and home address

where X is the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 corresponding to one of the following reasons:

1. Go to a pharmacy or see a doctor or donate blood, if recommended after contact.

2. Go to an operating store of essential goods (supermarket, mini market), where it is not possible to have items delivery.

3. Go to a public service or bank if electronic transaction is not possible.

4. Travel to help people in need, or to accompany underage students to / from school.

5. Going to a funeral ceremony.

6. Physical exercise outdoors or movement with a pet, individually or in groups of three, observing in the latter case the necessary distance of 1.5 meters.

No KTEL bus service on Kef on 06 January, and no Church Theophania (Epiphany) Blessing of the Waters celebrations.

A moo-ving target: fenceless grazing widens possibilities for cows and wildlife
GPS collars that alert cows when they reach a boundary are helping to improve habitats and boost biodiversity

There is something missing from the bucolic upland scene of shaggy, bracken-coloured cattle grazing between young trees on the Cumbrian hillside: fencing.

When the Highland-cross cows reach a certain point, the blue plastic medallion dangling from their necks plays a melody like a mobile phone ringtone. The cow turns around, and the invisible GPS fence has done its job.

Fenceless grazing is being hailed as revolutionary by conservationists and farmers.

On the BBC website, quite a long read but, if you like cats, probably of interest:
Was I wrong to fall for a cheating cat?
