Three new coronavirus cases on Kef yesterday, according to EODY.
Kef fire risk 19/10/21: Low (https://www.civilprotection.gr/el/imerisios-hartis-provlepsis-kindynoy-pyrkagias-19102021)
Today's bank rate:
1 GBP = € 1.1498
1 USD = € 0.8366
Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the Post Office (https://www.postoffice.co.uk/travel-money).
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Greece - Taxation
Greek residents are liable to income tax on their worldwide income.
Whether remitted to Greece or not. Where tax has already been paid outside Greece on non-Greek source income, it may be deducted up to the amount of tax payable in Greece on the same income. Non-Greek residents are taxed only on their Greek-source income.
The legal provisions designed to prevent tax evasion specify that individuals filing a tax return in Greece are taxed on the higher of their declared income or imputed income. Income is imputed on the basis of living expenditure or acquisition of certain assets. The main factors considered in imputing income from living expenses or acquisitions are:

Heathrow passenger charges could rise by up to 56% by 2023
Heathrow will be allowed to raise significantly its landing charges from next summer, the aviation regulator has announced, although it has ruled out the near-doubling of charges proposed by the airport.
Airlines reacted with dismay at the Civil Aviation Authority’s proposals, which could allow the UK’s biggest airport to increase charges by up to 56% by 2023 as it seeks to recoup losses from the pandemic.

Winter's approaching and the Ainos ponies are starting to move down the mountain, drivers on the Argostoli-Poros road should take extra care through the villages of Markopoulo, Kremmydi and Pastra.
-
Came across the ponies in Kato Katelios just last week.
Just near the back road junction by the supermarket/Aliti's/McMarket (the road that leads up past Filoxenia and on to Doumas/Pacifae)
Returning from an evening meal on the front we'd just turned the corner, and there they were, going left into the farmer's field, and right, into the big house on the corner.
There'd been evidence on the road, signalling their presence, for a few days previous.
A nice new addition to Kef memories
