I live in the area affected by this and the ridiculous thing about it is that in December 2013 our other local A&E at Chase Farm hospital was closed, despite many protests by local residents. We were given assurances that North Middlesex & Barnet hospitals were to be upgraded to be able to cope with the extra volume of patients!!!!!

A little more news re plans to renovate the centre of Argostoli from Lithostrotou through P. Vallianou and the square and out through Rizospaston down to 21 Maiou. Apparently the new image will be "modern and European and a tourist attraction". I just hope 'modern and European' doesn't mean it will look as bland as many modern European town centres.
