Maria Miller has resigned as culture secretary, Downing Street has said, following a row over her expenses.
Mrs Miller was cleared of funding a home for her parents at taxpayers' expense, but was told to repay £5,800.
The independent parliamentary commissioner for standards had previously recommended she repay £45,000, having criticised her "attitude" to the inquiry.

A battery that can charge in under 30 seconds has been shown off at a technology conference in Tel Aviv.
A Samsung S4 smartphone went from a dead battery to full power in 26 seconds in the demonstration.
The battery is currently only a prototype and the firm predicts it will take three years to become a commercially viable product.
Dr Myersdorf said that the batteries are likely to be 30 to 40% more expensive to manufacture compared to traditional ones and the final product will be twice as expensive than those on the market today.
But making them should be a relatively easy process.

Radical new skin cancer treatment shows promise in first clinical trials
The findings, released at the American Association for Cancer Research in San Diego, California, were better than expected and have already led to a phase-2 clinical trial to test the drug’s efficacy on skin cancer patients in both the UK and the United States, scientists said.

David Cameron is hoping to make his chart debut after recording a track for a new album on which he will feature alongside the EastEnders star Danny Dyer.
The Prime Minister has recited Rupert Brooke’s poem The Soldier for the official First World War centenary album, which also includes contributions from Stephen Fry, Radio 4’s Today presenter James Naughtie and Game Of Thrones actor Sean Bean.
Funds raised by the album will go towards meeting the £230,000 daily costs of helping and supporting service personnel and their families.

Toyota is recalling 6.4 million vehicles globally, including 35,124 in the UK, over five separate issues.
The latest recall, which affects 27 different models, is the fifth major one that the company has issued in recent months.

MPs and their staff are able to buy at a rate subsidised by the taxpayer..
Earlier this year Metro published anonymous complaints made by MPs about the on-site subsidised catering services. These included concerns about the "embarrassing" lack of Martini and a request for "more fresh game" to be introduced to the menu.
