A sepsis infection can start anywhere in the body and can occur after chest or water infections, abdomen problems as well as cuts and bites.
If untreated, sepsis can lead to shock, multiple organ failure and death.
The disease leads to 52,000 deaths in the UK each year, according to the Sepsis Trust.

So how does this work, then? A narrow majority (or maybe now, a narrow minority) of Brits want to leave the EU. But when Iran retaliates and takes hostage a British flagged ship, all of a sudden the UK wants a Europe-wide protection force. What am I missing here?

Police to play active role in enforcing smoking ban
As part of a government crackdown, police will play an active role in enforcing Greece’s much-flouted anti-smoking law, while a hotline will also be set up so that members of the public can report violations.
Speaking to Parliament on Saturday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitstotakis said the ban on smoking in indoor public spaces will be enforced immediately, starting from the House itself.
Greece has among the toughest anti-smoking laws in Europe but it has never been implemented.

Yes he was extremely lucky. It was three years ago.It took him about six months to get back to full fitness.Since it happened it makes you much more aware of any unusual symptoms and to take action and not be fobbed off with so called well meaning receptionists at your doctors surgery!!!Take action even if you are not sure it is scepsis.
