Ηorses pushed from clifftop
Two horses were found dead at the bottom of cliffs in the Parnitha mountain range north of Athens.
On Saturday, the nonprofit Ippothesis Panhellenic Equine Welfare Society posted horrific images of the two horses found a few kilometers north of the municipality of Fyli by volunteers who feed stray animals in the area.
According to complaints from animal lovers, the two horses were pushed off the cliff by their owners.

Brit gran missing for weeks in Greece with hopes of finding her 'diminishing by the day'
The daughter of a missing British pensioner fears the worst after her mother vanished without a trace over two weeks ago on a Greek island.
Susan Hart, 75, and her Swiss-national husband, Ed, have been visiting the island of Kalymnos, in the Aegen Sea, for around eight years.
Bethan explains that on Sunday, April 30, the pair took a 10-minute ferry to visit the secluded island of Telendos.
Ed was with a friend and they went off to do some rock climbing.
Bethan continues: "My stepdad arranged with Mum that she would hang out on the front of the island, where the boat comes in, she would read a book and she would go to a restaurant.
"When he came back, she was not where she was supposed to be."
They asked in the restaurant, but the grandmother of four had not dined there and no one recalls seeing her.

Over 180 firefighters coming to Greece from five European countries in July and August
Greece will welcome more than 180 firefighters from five European countries in the July-August season, in the context of a pre-positioning program that will be implemented again via the European Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM).
The teams will come from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Romania and Slovakia. The European firefighters will be based in Athens, Thessaloniki and Ancient Olympia so they are ready, as they were last year, to offer assistance to their Greek colleagues in putting out wildfires, as well as to exchange know-how.

Scots woman's death in Greece ruled foul play - but case is closed due to insufficient evidence
The death of a Scots woman on a Greek island 14 years ago has been ruled “foul play” but investigators have closed the case due to a lack of evidence.
The body of the 53-year-old who was from Dumfries was pulled from a canal on Crete.
A post-mortem examination rules the mother-of-three had drowned by suggested there were signs on her body that she may have been involved in a struggle.
It is the third time that Ms Hanlon’s death has been investigated by the Greek authorities.
