Why is he wearing a lampshade on his head?

Who's that bird he's with?
- They have no electricity and therefore no lampstand on which to place the shade.
- As a lover of wildlife he is practising to be a flamingo.
- He couldn't find a flamingo so decided a pelican would do, after seeing countless Greek postcards of semi-tame flamingos hanging round harbour side taverna tables.

My favourite gallery in the world is the Kattenkabinet (http://www.kattenkabinet.nl/index.php?lang=en) in Amsterdam. Located on the rather classy Herengracht canal in the centre of Amsterdam the Kattenkabinet is solely devoted to cats in all forms of art. When I last visited they had two resident cats who strolled round the the very grand seventeenth century building, like they owned it - they probably did! Very much recommended to cat lovers visiting a city with so much to see.
