Anyone know if Google Facial Recognition can be adapted for cat flaps, or would I be better off using a paw print pad?

Yeah,  Google have been doing this for some time now.  Unfortunately they share your data with the FBI - the Feline Bureau of Investigation.

Tony

I take it you've been having an interloper cat coming in!   :hmm:

It's a pain, Maik.  Some cats never figure out how to use a catflap but others get it when you don't want them to.  Can be very upsetting for resident cats - never mind the owners - especially cats that are not used to mixing with the riff-raff.  We don't use cat flaps with our pampered Persians but have an area of cat-proofed garden.  Think the only thing you can do is to use a catflap with magnetic (or whatever it is now) collars for your own cats.  Pricey and even more so with a bunch of cats.
