EU voucher scheme to boost superfast internet take-up

The European Commission has approved under European Union state aid rules a voucher scheme to support the take-up in Greece of broadband services with download speeds of at least 100 megabits per second.

The measure will contribute toward reducing the digital divide, while limiting distortions in competition.

Record Low Temperatures Recorded in Florina, Northern Greece (video)

Freezing temperatures prevailed over several parts of Greece on Tuesday morning, according to the Meteo station of the National Observatory of Athens.

Highway traffic, rail and bus services were disrupted across northern Greece, where an all-time record low of -23 degrees Celsius (-9 Fahrenheit) was recorded in the city of Florina.

We are not exactly short of dogs that need re homing in the uk, plus we have bags of dog crap hanging from the trees because some of our dog owners have no consideration for anyone else, even young children cannot play in parks now because of dog crap, so unless they want to swap their dogs for our plastic waste, they should keep them, and stop the do gooders bringing disease here.
