Greek property prices continued to fall in the first quarter, even though the economic recession eased, as squeezed household incomes, record-high unemployment and tax increases still took a toll, data showed on Tuesday.

Property accounts for a large chunk of household wealth as Greece has one of the highest homeownership rates in Western Europe – 80 percent versus a European Union average of 70 percent – according to European Mortgage Federation data.

Bank of Greece figures showed that apartment prices fell 7.5 percent in the first three months of 2014 from a year earlier, after an 8.6 percent decline in the previous quarter.

Chip-and-PIN should be "Chip-and-Skim," say Cambridge card-cloners

The bottom line

The experts from Cambridge showed that duplicating a Chip-and-PIN transaction without having or using the original card is technically feasible in the real world.

Chip-and-PIN simply isn't infallible, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Could your mobile voicemail system help hackers unlock your online accounts?

In short, if your mobile phone operator hasn’t properly protected your voicemail system any online service which is prepared to leave a voicemail containing your 2FA code could be putting your accounts at risk.

The Civil Aviation Authority has published on its website a list of European companies that are selling holidays in the UK without ATOL protection.

It is warning consumers that if they book with any of the operators on the list they should check how they are protected.

Lowcostholidays.com, eDreams, airtickets.com, flightengine.com and travel24.com have been named so far and the CAA said the list would be updated on a regular basis.
