Kef fire risk 10/07/22: Medium

One hundred and fourteen new coronavirus cases confirmed on Kefalonia yesterday by EODY, five on Ithaka

Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £ 0.8766 GBP
1 €UR = $ 1.0485 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1408 €UR
$1 USD = 0.9537 €UR

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the
Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Ten day weather forecast for Kefalonia:
This is an overall forecast, due to the mountainous terrain the weather can be very localised.

Boris Johnson ‘lobbied for City Hall job for young woman while they were in a relationship’
The woman has claimed that then-London mayor Boris Johnson abused his power to have a relationship with her

No idea why it's only now getting in the news but I have to wonder how much sleaze is still to be exposed.

Talking of which... if we cast our minds back to 2017 and the MP sex pest scandal: 36 Tories named over sexual misconduct allegations in Tory spreadsheet of shame, part of the alleged list of MPs involved has been posted on twitter. A bit difficult to read, but it's possible, and looks to tie in with the redacted list originally published by Guido Fawkes on order-order.com.

Well, that didn't take long...

Rishi Sunak is a “schoolboy” and a “liar” who cannot be trusted on tax, according to a “mucky memo” being circulated among Tory MPs...
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2022/07/10/exclusive-anti-rishi-mucky-memo-setting-alight-tory-whatsapp/

That article's behind a paywall but, if you want, you can read the whole page at archive.today

What I found even more interesting is this excerpt from the Independent's coverage of the same story:

Quote
Tory leadership campaign teams are reportedly drawing up dossiers full of compromising allegations against rival candidates and their aides.

At least two rival campaign teams are claimed to have handed Labour digital dossiers packed with lurid allegations against potential opponents, according to the Sunday Times – with even candidates’ staffers supposedly targeted.

The dossiers are rumoured to include allegations about extramarital affairs, use of tax dodges and illicit drugs, with at least one private investigator reportedly hired to probe some candidates’ financial arrangements.

Labour MP Chris Bryant tweeted: “The stories circulating about the various leadership candidates are so lurid they’re difficult to credit, but even more bizarre is the fact Tory MPs are circulating them.”

Uber broke laws, duped police and secretly lobbied governments, leak reveals
https://www.theguardian.com/news/2022/jul/10/uber-files-leak-reveals-global-lobbying-campaign

A whole lot of corruption around the world. According to the article, "six UK Tory cabinet ministers had meetings with Uber that were not disclosed." Same story covered by the BBC: Uber Files: Massive leak reveals how top politicians secretly helped Uber - no mention of any British politicians but things don't look good for Emmanuel Macron, now president of France and even less good for Neelie Kroes, then the European Commission vice-president.
