Dog show helps charity rescuing animals in Greece
The first Zante Strays Fun Dog shows was held at Bedfordshire Growers in Biggleswade on Saturday, July 25... the show attracted 96 entries and a total of £756.12 was raised... a second show is being held on Saturday, August 8 at the same venue from 10am, with judging at 11am.

Russian tourist killed by speedboat in Rhodes
Coast guard officers on the southeastern Aegean holiday island of Rhodes on Sunday recovered the body of a 37-year-old Russian tourist who had gone missing the previous day.
The woman’s body was dismembered, leading officers to believe that she was struck by a speedboat propeller as she was swimming off the coast of Afandou beach.
A 43-year-old Swiss man who was seen driving a speedboat for water sports in the area on Saturday has been remanded in custody and was to appear before a prosecutor on Sunday.

Singer and TV star Cilla Black, who enjoyed a 50-year showbusiness career, has died aged 72, her agent has said.
The death appeared to be due to natural causes, but this had not yet been confirmed by tests, police said.

Alex and Sue Tatham were the first couple to meet and get married on Cilla Black's dating show Blind Date.
Twenty-four years later, they are still together - with two children - after tying the knot in front of a TV audience of 18 million.
The couple talked to the BBC about their experience on the show, and their memories of their televisual "fairy godmother".The couple auditioned for Blind Date in 1988 and ended up at the same recording, where Alex had to choose between three potential dates.
Sue: I was completely nervous and very jittery. But Cilla made everyone feel at their ease.
Alex:Blind Date was very much Cilla's show and she was extremely professional. She had an extraordinary grip on the whole programme. Anyone who showed off too much, she'd put them down. She ruled that show.
