Weddings legalised for Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster in New Zealand

It's official — New Zealanders can now tie the noodle knot in a legally recognised Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster wedding ceremony.

The church, which believes the existence of a god made of spaghetti and meatballs is just as likely as the existence of other gods, has just had its first marriage celebrant approved by the New Zealand Government.

Now weddings of church members, who call themselves "Pastafarians", and anyone else, will be perfectly legal, and different.

The head of the church, Karen Martyn, has been dubbed a "Ministeroni".

Just double-checked, it is 01 March  :iroll:

Edit: Might seem rather wacko but she possibly doesn't snort coke in a 'Nazi room'

An absolute insult it certainly is and will remain the case until a medal is finally minted for these brave and unfortunately dwindling band of warriors. Dresden or no Dresden this arm of our armed forces took the fight to Germany from the start until the finnish and suffered the heaviest losses of ALL our armed forces. I'm proud to be the son of a bomber command pilot (God bless him) and some of the bleeding hearts and political journeymen from the past and present need to grow a set and do the right thing. Sorry for the rant but a bit of a sore subject for me. Bombs Away !

Absolutely, right! Am the daughter of a WW2 Lancaster navigator and these brave souls more than helped save our country. Yes, there were heavy losses due to the bombing in Germany, but in retaliation to the huge losses due to the blanket bombing in England by the German bombers. Had we not done so, we would most likely be speaking German...!!!

It is total disgrace that these 'boys' (and in the main they were!) have been treated so badly.
