Six new cases of coronavirus confirmed on Kefalonia yesterday by EODY.

Today's bank rate:
1 GBP = € 1.1401
1 USD = € 0.8609

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the
Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Ten day weather forecast for Kefalonia:
This is an overall forecast, due to the mountainous terrain the weather can be very localised.

Storms have damaged the Panayiotis on Navagio ("Shipwreck") beach, Zakynthos. Apparently large parts of the rusting wreck have become detached.

‘Government-approved’ Covid testing firm falsely claimed to be accredited laboratory

Doctor-N-London Ltd is one of the most prominent results on the government’s website which lists hundreds of providers for people needing a day 2 PCR test after arriving in the UK.

The gov.uk site links directly to Doctor-N-London’s homepage which claimed the company was set up to “challenge those looking to exploit people during the pandemic” and that it “operates under UKAS Number 22542” – a reference to the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

UKAS investigated the matter after being alerted by The Independent and confirmed that neither Doctor-N-London or its trading name Spectrum Medica is accredited as a Covid testing lab or for any other purpose.

Doctor-N-London subsequently removed the UKAS number from its website but the company, which advertises its clinic address at a Holiday Inn in Kensington, remains on the government’s list of approved providers.
