New petition lodged at Holyrood calls for Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles to be granted a referendum on staying part of Scotland
The islands were part of Norway until the 15th century.

An EU bank is providing a loan worth €235 million (£197.3m) to support the electricity network improvement in Greece.
The cash will help Greek Public Power Corporation (PPC) renovate the electricity distribution network as well as extend around 186,000 connections throughout the country.

The CEO of Irish budget airline Ryanair Michael O'Leary announced record bookings for his company's upcoming flights to Athens which will begin on the 1st of April. As To Vima online reports, O'Leary estimated that his airline will transfer about four million passengers to and from Greek destinations. The company will operate six flights to Athens, Chania, Corfu, Kalamata, Kefalonia, Kos and Patra.
Additionally, the CEO revealed that Ryanair has invested over 300 million dollars in Greece and is currently in talks with various airports about expanding its number of flights in November.

Lagokefalos (lagocephalus) have had a mention here before as they've spread up from the East via the Suez Canal and into the Med waters around Cyprus and Greece. Last Friday one was reportedly caught off Zakynthos.
Lagocephalus sceleratus, or better known as the pufferfish, or fugu, is widespread in Asia and Indo-Pacific regions. It is a poisonous fish containing tetrodotoxin (TTX) which is a potent neurotoxin.

But was it one of ours or one of theirs? :hmm: Heard on the radio they pick up tons of stuff every year but luckily very little of it goes off. Terrible that it's still affecting people after nearly 100 years.
