Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £0.9058 GBP
1 €UR = $1.1067 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1040 €UR
$1 USD = 0.9036 €UR
Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the Post Office (https://www.postoffice.co.uk/travel-money).
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Why you should let your dog sniff as many lamp posts as they want
While such behaviour may be frustrating, experts say you shouldn't yank your curious pet away
Dogs should be allowed to sniff as many lamp posts as they want when out on a walk and not be yanked onwards by bored owners, a canine expert has said.
Walks are often perceived by owners as being solely for exercise and to keep a dog physically fit but veterinarians say they also play a vital role in mental stimulation.
Some dogs, especially as they get older, walk with less vigour and for shorter periods of time, preferring to plod slowly and investigate the scents around them.
This should be embraced by owners, even if it is frustrating, counter-intuitive and boring for the walker, veterinarians believe.

Bit of crowd trouble at yesterday's local cup final between Pallixouriakos and Dilinata. All kicked off after Dilinata levelled the score at 1-1 in the 78th minute. Pushing and shoving between opposing players spread to the crowd and items were thrown from the stand onto the pitch, including 'smoke bombs'. Referee abandoned the game, replay likely in near future (maybe).

Covid app for England and Wales discontinued as usage dwindles
Exclusive: Wind-down of NHS contact-tracing app part of drive to ‘learn to live’ with coronavirus
The Covid contact-tracing app for England and Wales, which was downloaded 31m times during the course of the pandemic, is being wound down later this week.
Coming about three years since the first nationwide lockdown, the move is part of a drive to encourage people to “learn to live” with the virus. Users of the app will receive a notification on Tuesday telling them it is being discontinued. They will no longer receive alerts informing them when they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
Dwindling usage meant the app was in danger of becoming defunct, as Covid measures – such as free tests – were removed and vaccination take-up grew. However, the NHS app will continue to allow people to request a certificate proving their Covid vaccination status as part of any requirements for international travel.
