--- Quote ---Mystery of cat 'from Canary Islands' found in Scotland solved

The mystery moggie, named Juanita by vets who took her in, was found in a garage in Muchalls, near Aberdeen, on Thursday.

The tabby’s microchip was traced to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, leading to speculation that she could have slipped onto a Ryanair flight from the tourist hotspot.

It emerged that her owner, Fiona Prati, lives in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, and had not updated the cat’s registration after emigrating to Scotland.

Zahir White, from Cats Protection... urged cat owners to get their pets microchipped and keep details up to date.

--- Quote ---Recent headlines from the German newspaper “Bild” have started a new propagandistic campaign against Greece. The newspaper claims that the Greeks have a lot more money than the German people and should pay wealth tax to recover from the crisis.

“We got used to it. For years the Germans have to pay for the bankrupt Greeks. The excuse is that apparently Greeks cannot help themselves. However, the truth seems to be different. Actually, Greeks have a lot more money than us.” the article states, noting that while a German household has an average income of 51,4000 euros, a Greek household has an income of 101,900 euros.

The article, commenting on the Germany’s Bundesbank proposal that countries about to go bankrupt should impose their citizens a one-off capital levy before asking other states for help, said that “wealthy Greeks should be paying for their own debts.”

The chance of getting wealthy Greeks to chip in looks about as likely as the average Greek household having an annual income of 101,900 €. IMO.

Er.... I wouldn't take Bild too seriously.  The clue is in the title: Bild = picture.  It's for Germans who can't read.  :iroll:
