Tax statement portal to open next week

Taxpayers will be able to submit their 2015 income tax statements as early as next week, as the Finance Ministry will open its web portal for the submission of income and property data concerning last year from February 1 until the end of April. The portal can be accessed at www.gsis.gr

The new declaration form (E1) has few notable changes from last year, but has incorporated recent changes to legislation...

Notably the 049 entry on the form, which concerns retail receipts collected by taxpayers to get a tax discount of 2,100 euros, has been retained although the Finance Ministry has said taxpayers will not need to fill it in.

Income tax will be payable in three installments, at the end of May, July and September, according to a regulation to be tabled in Parliament.
