Laura Cunliffe jailed for microwaving pet kitten

A woman who killed her pet kitten by cooking it in a microwave because she thought it had attacked her goldfish has been jailed for 14 weeks.

Laura Cunliffe, 23, of Hoyland, near Barnsley, put black-and-white Mowgli into the microwave and turned it on for five minutes.

She was jailed at Barnsley Magistrates' Court after admitting causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

District Judge John Foster said it was an "act of utterly horrendous cruelty".

The court heard Cunliffe put the kitten into the microwave and switched it on but took the animal out about a minute later when she realised what she had done. The kitten died later.

The Miracle Machine uses the magic of science to turn water into wine for £1.20 a bottle

Priced at $499 (£300), the Miracle Machine looks like a cross between a fancy water jug and a cafeteria, complete with plunger and various internal chambers.

Would-be vintners simply drop in the right ingredients, select a fermentation schedule via the paired smartphone app and then sit back, waiting for their water to turn into wine.

Short article on the HuffPost and No, it's not Myrtos! It's nearby Navagio. IMO not the most beautiful beach in Greece but lovely piccies, anyway (even if we have all seen similar many times before).

This Is The Most Beautiful Beach In Greece, Which Means It's The Prettiest Beach In The World (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/14/navagio-most-beautiful-beach-greece_n_4936056.html)

We all make mistakes.
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 17 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my laptop's been confiscated, and the wife has gone off to her mother.

Oh well, guess it wasn't all bad news, then?
