Scientist beheaded by her husband to 'protect her from dancers on The X Factor'
Timothy Allen sectioned indefinitely for killing Samantha Ho because he believed dancers on ITV show were trying to get to them, court hears

Timothy Allen, 40, killed his scientist wife Samantha Ho, 39, at their Cambridgeshire home as they watched an episode of the singing competition programme on the August bank holiday weekend last year.

Allen, who had long-standing psychiatric problems stemming back to a motorbike accident a decade earlier, told police that he believed the dancers were “puppets” being controlled by a puppet master who was coming to get him, Southwark Crown Court heard.

Ms Ho made a “harrowing and upsetting” call to the police in concern after her husband tried to cut his own throat. When officers arrived, they found Allen bare chested, covered in blood and repeatedly stabbing the couple's border collie, Cherry.

Appears as though the Interior Minister, Yiannis Balafas, contacted local municipalities and regions across Greece on 16/03/16 asking if they can identify facilities suitable for refugees. Seems to be a request, not an imposition and was sent by email, not a signed letter. So could be another hoax.

Edit: As yet haven't been able to find any mention of this in any of the English-language Greek media sites.

Mission 'impawsible': 22-year-old's journey from Syria...with her cat Tabbous

In the tent city at Idomeni, there is a tale (or possibly tail?) that's stranger than most. Peeping out from inside his tent, the fastidious four-footed traveller refuses to step outside into the mud to greet us.

Tabbous has followed 22-year-old Esra al-Aboud all the way from Damascus in Syria, making the perilous crossing over the sea, but he's still not very fond of water.

"We couldn't leave him behind. He's a part of our family. How could we leave him behind," Esra said, explaining her decision to bring Tabbous with her on the difficult journey.
