Why is he wearing a lampshade on his head?
Why's he only got one leg?
Who's that bird he's with?

  • They have no electricity and therefore no lampstand on which to place the shade.
  • As a lover of wildlife he is practising to be a flamingo.
  • He couldn't find a flamingo so decided a pelican would do, after seeing countless Greek postcards of semi-tame flamingos hanging round harbour side taverna tables.

My favourite gallery in the world is the  Kattenkabinet in Amsterdam.  Located on the rather classy Herengracht canal in the centre of Amsterdam the Kattenkabinet is solely devoted to cats in all forms of art.  When I last visited they had two resident cats who strolled round the the very grand seventeenth century building, like they owned it - they probably did!  Very much recommended to cat lovers visiting a city with so much to see.
