Theresa May's new rights to time off work could lead to 'discrimination against middle aged workers'
Middle aged workers might be discriminated against by employers worried they will take up their legal right to time off to care for elderly parents, small firms are warning.
Theresa May, the Prime Minister, unveiled plans on Monday for workers to be given a legal right to take a year's leave from their job to care for elderly relatives.
However the plans were criticised because they could lead to job hunters in their 40s or 50s facing discrimination from future employers.

Nice idea, maybe, but a bit like the right to buy a mansion in Mayfair and a Rolls Royce... if you can afford it. Not sure how many workers could afford a year off without pay.

Not sure it's been thought through properly either, as presumably those workers will be able to claim Carer's Allowance, creating an extra burden on the public purse

Lost Internet connectivity in Katelios for a few hours today.
My villa's went down, so connected to next door's with same result
Went to nearest bar - no connection, and the next, and the next
Internet came back in the afternoon. Was it just a Katelios issue or did others experience it too?
Really bad timing as everyone panicking about "The Hack" in London and wanting their systems checked - "just in case"

Glad you made the best of the situation, Tony

I did see some guys working on the telecom box at the entrance to Albouro yesterday. There was also a big roll of cable at the box near Anastasia, so it may have be connected with the recent installation of fibre optic.

I eventually got mine back about 7:30pm but my neighbour's still off!
