Revealed: the ancient propaganda war that led to the triumph of Christianity

New historical research is shedding fresh light on the birth of Christianity as a major religion.

Although Christianity had existed since the mid-first century AD, it didn’t become the Roman empire’s main religion until more than 250 years later.

Now, new research is revealing the dramatic pro-Christian and anti-Christian propaganda wars which preceded Christianity’s emergence as the empire’s dominant faith.

Scientists ‘open Pandora’s box’ with human-monkey chimeric embryo

cientists in the US have sparked an ethics row after successfully growing part-human, part-monkey chimeric embryos.

Chimeras are organisms whose cells come from two or more individuals. Interspecies chimeras in mammals have been made since the 1970s, when they were generated in rodents and used to study early developmental processes.

Taking the research a step further, a team at the Salk Institute in California have now produced monkey-human chimeras – by injecting human stem cells into macaque embryos – in petri dishes.

Microchipping cats could soon become law - here's how the changes could affect you

Pet owners across the country could soon be required by law to get their cats microchipped.

The government is considering changing the law, with regulations already in place for dog owners, in order to help reunite lost or stolen pets with their families.

It comes as pet thefts during the coronavirus pandemic have soared.

Accusations that the ships that drop anchor in Lourdata bay are washing their holds out in the bay, thus contributing to marine pollution of Kefalonia. Didn't seem to be any evidence presented.

Greece’s Smokers Binge on Tobacco During COVID-19 Pandemic

Despite putting themselves at greater risk of the breath-robbing COVID-19, smokers in Greece lit up even more during the pandemic and more started puffing away.

That was the finding of a survey by the Marc polling company in March that said 27.2 percent of smokers were smoking even more than they had been and 7 percent started again after having quit before the Coronavirus hit.

Property in the Poros area has until 31/05/21 to connect to the mains drainage network, the work must be completed before the main tourist season and is a requirement, not an option.
