Travel documentary for Japanese TV to be filmed over 10-12 days on Kefalonia during February, expected to be shown in Japan during April.

Haven't got the full gist of this but notaries are abstaining from completing draft purchasing contracts containg the new capital gains tax. Not sure what it's all about, think it's something to do wth taxes being paid on inherited properties.

Some changes coming to payment for car insurance, probably make it more like the UK system.

Scientists in Brazil have discovered the first new river dolphin species since the end of World War One.

Named after the Araguaia river where it was found, the species is only the fifth known of its kind in the world.

Re changes to car insurance...
We paid ours yesterday and from now on it has to be paid in at a bank and not to the insurance broker. This can only be a good thing IMO

Yep, paid our (ex-)broker one year, never did get the actual certificate of insurance. Bit more here:

About one million vehicles are currently in circulation in the country without insurance, according to the Chairman of Car Insurance Companies Association in Greece Costas Bertsias.

Speaking to Vima FM on Thursday, Bertsias said authorities will soon introduce cross-check software enabling them to net offenders.

Meanwhile, the government is preparing legislation foreseeing that no contract is renewed where motorists have not paid their fees, Bertsias said.

Come to think of it, our renewal notice had to be paid at a bank, not to the broker.

Bit more Ryanair news:

'Triton' Oxygen Mask Claims To Draw Oxygen From Water While You Swim

A South Korean designer claims to have invented an oxygen mask which can draw air from water as you swim.

The device relies on "future" batteries with 30 times the capacity of current batteries, Yeon said.

Which is a pretty big clue that although this looks neat, it's not going to happen.

OK, I hate gearing up for a dive as much as anyone, but unfortunately there’s a bit of physics and physiology that means the Triton concept just ain’t gonna happen.
