Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.

Municipality of Sami has reminded residents of the legal requirement to tidy their land and remove surplus material that may catch fire, e.g. overgrown grass, bushes, etc. Same will apply to other municipalities. Fire season starts around 01 May.

Not so bizarre. It happened to me many years ago when landing at Kef Airport. The plane had to do a 'go around' because of a fire at the end of the runway. Maybe it's the same bloke

Greek Police Officer Used Patrol Vehicle To Sell Drugs

A police officer and member of the MAT special forces were detained for selling drugs, with the former conducting his illegal activities from his patrol vehicle, the Internal Investigation Service of the Greek Police announced on Sunday.

Inflation in Greece eases to 4.6% in March

The rate of increase in inflation slowed further to 4.6% in March this year, from 6.1% in February, as a result of lower energy prices, and compared to an increase of 8.9% in March 2022, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Monday.

While apparel prices increased 14.4% and food and non-alcoholic beverages became 14.3% more expensive, the national consumer price index was contained thanks to to moderate increase in the transport category (1.9%) and in education (2.2%).

Alcoholic drinks and tobacco prices only rose 3.7%.

Not fake news I was on that plane! We ended up circling for some time
