Today’s bank rates:
1 €UR = £0.9012 GBP
1 €UR = $1.1243 USD
£1 GBP = 1.1096 €UR
$1 USD = 0.8894 €UR

Based on Alpha Bank exchange rates, these are widely used by exchange agencies in Greece.
Other banks likely to offer a different rate which may be marginally higher or lower.
Banks and foreign exchange offices normally charge standard 2% commission.
You may get a better rate changing your holiday money in advance at e.g the
Post Office.
NB: some f-ex agencies advertise "No Commission".
Invariably, they deduct commission before they (don't) advertise the rate.
Foreign exchange offices are businesses, not charities.

Municipality of Sami has reminded residents of the legal requirement to tidy their land and remove surplus material that may catch fire, e.g. overgrown grass, bushes, etc. Same will apply to other municipalities. Fire season starts around 01 May.

A little care needed - seems someone has been burning waste wood at the end of Kef airport runway, smoke has prevented a plane from landing. That's unconfirmed, seems a little bizarre, even for Kef.

Not so bizarre. It happened to me many years ago when landing at Kef Airport. The plane had to do a 'go around' because of a fire at the end of the runway. Maybe it's the same bloke :hmm:

Maybe he confused MAT with Met?

Hope you got a good view of Kef but, ah, don't tell Greta - all that extra fuel used...
