Title: What free words?
Post by: Maik on Friday, 16 September, 2022 @ 13:34:47
As the queue to file past the Queen's casket grows longer it's an idea if people know where the end of the queue is. According to the Telegraph (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/2022/09/16/typo-directs-mourners-join-royal-queue-5000-miles-away-california/) there's a bit of confusion caused by miscommunication: according to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport the What3words address was same.valve.grid. Which would suggest the queue starts near Yosemite, California. The words should have been same.valve.grit, a square next to Blackfriars Bridge.

Another post directed people to start queuing near Charlotte, North Carolina, as the square was listed as shops.views.paths rather than shops.view.paths. Popular she was, but those two are stretching things a bit far.

Nearer home, a third location, keen.lifted.fired, was presented on the official map of the queue as keen.listed.fired, suggesting the queue began near Leeds, Yorkshire.

Shades of, "Send three and fourpence, we're going to a dance"?
