Shocked passenger watched flight take off after arriving on shuttle lift

A disabled passenger was left stranded on the tarmac at Newcastle Airport after the plane she was about to board took off without her.

Margaret Harrop, 76, and her husband John were due to fly out to Alicante, Spain on Ryanair flight FR4080 on Wednesday 28 September.

But as the couple were about to board, they noticed their luggage was being removed from the aircraft - and it was about to take off.

Nadine Dorries calls for a general election
Having backed Liz Truss for Tory leadership, former culture secretary says PM ‘must take to the country’ if the premier wants a new mandate

Nadine Dorries has dramatically called for a general election if Liz Truss continues to change government policy.

The former culture secretary, who supported Ms Truss’s leadership bid, said there was “widespread dismay” that a lot of the work she had done while in office had been put on hold.

Her latest intervention came after she accused the Prime Minister of throwing her Chancellor “under a bus”.

Church mulling response to ‘miracle worker’ priest

Amid the uproar surrounding the “miraculous” events at the Church of St Isidore on Lycabettus Hill in Athens overseen by the church’s priest, Father Dimitrios Loupasakis, Greece’s religious authorities are reportedly considering three different courses of action.

Footage seen online in recent months shows Loupasakis placing the cross on people with mobility problems, who then begin to walk, and on blind people who supposedly regained their eyesight.
