Ziona Chana: Head of 'world's largest family' dies in India's Mizoram state

A 76-year-old man believed to be the head of the world's largest family has died in India's Mizoram state.

Ziona Chana, the head of a religious sect that practised polygamy, died on Sunday, leaving behind 38 wives, 89 children and 36 grandchildren.

It's hard to say if Chana was indeed the head of the world's largest family since there are others who claim the title.

Urgent action called for over vandalised cemetery and protruding limb
Campaigners say neglect at graves in West Norwood Cemetery in London is disrespectful and shocking

Its beautiful Grade II* listed monuments were erected in memory of leading members of the Greek community in 19th-century London, but the graves in West Norwood cemetery are now in a dire state of neglect – with one decaying casket recently photographed covered in a thick layer of pigeon droppings, with a limb protruding.

Apparently among the Greeks buried there are members of the Vallianou family, including Panagis Vallianou.
