Title: Sadly, the Lion fish are here.
Post by: U4ea on Wednesday, 16 September, 2020 @ 17:06:53
I saw 4 of the on Monday whilst diving near Cape Kavros, near the Lighthouse there.

Lovely to look at, but voracious feeders on fish and with no predators. They also breed at an alarming rate.

Bad news for the fish and for fishermen.

Yep, they are visually attractive, if not very pleasant:

That really is a shame, saw hundreds of them when diving in Egypt and as you say pretty to look at but so invasive.
