Athens threatens new referendum on austerity
The beleaguered left-wing government in Greece has hinted at a new referendum if international creditors continue to insist on “irrational” austerity measures.
Alekos Flabouraris, Greece’s minister of state and among the prime minister’s closest confidants, said that the administration could not agree to further cuts.

Non-workers to outnumber workers this year as baby boomers retire.
“2017 marks a tipping point in Britain as retiring baby boomers swell the ranks of the non-working population faster than our workforce. As this continues, our ageing society brings challenges for future generations of workers. If we had to cope today with the pensioner population we expect by 2060 it would mean a cost pressure equivalent to a 4p rise in the basic rate of income tax.”

Strictly speaking I think it means a greater increase in pensioners than in new workers, which isn't quite the same thing. still scary though.

Blimey, I'm not sure even Merkel or Schauble would want to inflict Farage on the Greeks!!
