Cheaper services may be attractive but they can lead to all sorts of trouble down the line

You can buy a will online for less than £20 – but hidden terms and conditions added by unregulated will writing companies can mean grieving families end up paying thousands in unnecessary costs.

Some cheap online will companies appoint themselves as executors, which has left families faced with paying over £10,000 to unlock their inheritance – and that is just for a small estate.
