State Debtors Increase by 851,000Greek state debtors will soon reach 4.5 million, according to an official report. In the last month alone, 851,201 more Greeks were added to the list of those who owe money to the tax office.Recent figures showed that 3.3 million Greeks have outstanding tax debts while more than a million have outstanding debts to insurance funds, making a total debt of 90 billion euros.
Eurostat: Unemployment in Greece at 26.4% in JulyGreece tops the “black list” of European unemployment once again, according to seasonally adjusted figures released on October 31 by EU statistics office, Eurostat. Unemployment rates across the 28 member states was 10.1% in September 2014, while the highest rates were observed in Greece where it reached 26.4%. The situation is even worse when it comes to youth unemployment for Greece, as in September it reached 50.7%
