Croydon cat killer breakthrough as 'fleeting figure' spotted near crime scene

Residents reported hearing the noise of someone making a 'kissing noise' as if to attract a cat hours before the latest victim was found dead in Surrey this week

Rusty, a one-year-old ginger cat, was taken between 9.30pm on Sunday and 10am on Monday in the Kingsley area of Northampton.

The dead cat was then 'returned' in a plastic bag and found by the family's 14-year-old daughter.

Police say the incident comes only a few days after their other cat was found in the Kingsley area killed after being deliberately set on fire.

Horrible stories - lets hope they get the guy(s) soon for the cats but also as a possible risk to people.

Small fire at Trapezaki earlier today, local firefighters got it under control.


Kef police busy at the airport yesterday, arresting an Iraqi couple with three kids, another Iraqi national and a Syrian, all for attempting to use forged documents to board a 'plane to Italy.

Separately, police at the airport arrested an Iranian trafficker who was attempting to use forged documents to board six Iranian nationals on a flight to Italy.
