Solving islands' water problems would take 66.4 mln euros, study finds

According to the report, the most costly interventions would have to take place on the islands of Naxos, Amorgos and Milos in the Aegean. These would include the construction of desalination plants and extending sewage systems to replace septic tanks.

Greeks back government's red lines, but want to keep euro

Cash-strapped Greeks remain supportive of the leftist government's tough negotiating style, according to a new poll published Sunday, but hope for a deal with creditors that will keep the euro in their wallets.

The poll conducted in May by Public Issue for the pro-government newspaper Avgi, shows 54 percent backing the SYRIZA-led government's handling of the negotiations despite the tension with Greece's international lenders.

A total 59 percent believe Athens must not give in to demands by its creditors, with 89 percent against pension cuts and 81 percent against mass lay-offs...

with 71 percent of those polled wanting to keep the euro while 68 percent said a return to the drachma could worsen the economic situation.

Australian sheep farmer faces complaint from PETA that he 'swore at his animals'

None of the sheep actually told me they were offended, says Ken Turner

PETA took its proceedings very seriously – and even said it wasn't just language that had been an issue, but also included stomping and punching the sheep, the Newcastle Herald notes.

Lamb rescued from Munich brothel during narcotics raid

I gather there's no truth in the rumour the lamb was given to Herr Schäuble by Varoufakis as a subtle way of saying "**** ewe".

Sounds as though the villagers of Dilinata are a tad upset by the negative publicity surrounding the village in recent days, to the point of refuting a large part of the original story as released by 'Doris'. Think things could possibly get a bit heated on Sunday.
