Apparently Argostoli municipality have plans to install a 'smart parking' traffic management system. Information re available parking spaces will be available via a downloadable smartphone app.

Well that's all OK if you have a Smartphone!
We both have 'Pensioner Phones'......they just make & receive phone calls & texts, so we don't have access to Aps & haven't found the need so far

Same here, kef97! There seems to be an 'app' for just about everything, and everyone expects you to use it. But somehow we still manage to live our lives without smartphones.

Gather the Taxisnet system for car tax has quietly been put online and is working, even though the government still hasn't made any changes to the way it's calculated or payments due. Next year, as the saying goes. Think this is still valid: Greek road tax 'how to'

Payments due by 31/12/2019 - although usually an extension is granted.

Who was Prince Philip’s mother? Real-life story behind The Crown’s new star
The Crown season three covers Prince Philip's complex relationship with his mother, Princess Alice of Greece

In 1930 Princess Alice was diagnosed with schizophrenia and forcibly taken to a Swiss sanatorium, where she was treated by the renowned psychologist Sigmund Freud.

Freud, believing that her reported visions were the results of sexual frustration, recommended a course of treatment involving electro-shock treatment, and X-raying her ovaries to kill off her libido — bringing on early menopause.

The Princess pleaded her sanity, but was kept in the sanatorium for over two years. On her aunt’s time under Freud’s care, Countess Mountbatten later said: “It was rather hushed up… I think my aunt would have suffered very much.”
