Barcelona eyeing out Greece’s 15-year-old Giannis Konstantelias

Despite being only 15 years old, Giannis Konstantelias’ talents are being recognised by European powerhouses such as Barcelona, who are interested in signing the exciting PAOK midfielder.

Born in Volos in 2003, Konstantelias currently stands at 165 cm and plays as a midfielder for PAOK’s under 17s side, despite being eligible to play for the under 15s team. He was signed by PAOK in 2013 and since then, has been a key member in PAOK’s academy.

The attacking midfielder has impressed scoring two goals along with seven assists from six games to start the season with PAOK U17s. His stunning form and ability to dominate in matches against older players has attracted the attention of European clubs.

The interest for Konstantelias does not stop at Barcelona. The highly-rated teenage prospect is in high demand by a number of clubs in England. Reports suggest that one English club offered 1.2 million Euros for the 15-year-old.

'True meaning' of Watership Down revealed ahead of TV revival
Readers thought story was cryptic allegory, but its creator was firm: ‘It’s just a story about rabbits’

The 1978 animated version of Watership Down holds a particular place in the cultural psyche of an entire generation. Everyone remembers the hopelessly sentimental Art Garfunkel theme song. Many will never forget the trauma of witnessing big-eyed bunny rabbits being mercilessly and bloodily slain.

The 1978 animation, featuring the voices of John Hurt and Richard Briers, was scarringly graphic.

Producers have suggested the new version, a BBC/Netflix co-production, will be less violent. There will also be more comedy and more prominent female characters.

The programme will be shown on on Saturday 22 December and Sunday 23 December.
