Navagio Beach in Zakynthos Allegedly Sold to the Emir of Qatar

The issue of the sale of a large property that surrounds famous  “Navagio” beach on the Ionian island of Zakynthos has taken an unexpected turn.

A new letter addressed to the Archbishop of Dodona and former Archbishop of Zakynthos Chrysostomos came to light. The letter is co-signed by a lawyer and a civil engineer, who claim to be the representatives of the land owner. The two men claim that their client, the owner Georgios Charos, has sold the property following all legal procedures and that the plot in question does not include neither the Monastery of St. George of Krimnes, as the Archbishop claimed, nor the famous “Navagio” beach.
