Greece to receive EU transport funding

THE European Commission (EC) announced that rail projects in Greece will receive funding from the European Union (EU) cohesion funds, as part of a €1.3bn investment which will allow major projects that started in the 2007-2013 financial period to be completed in the current 2014-2020 period.

Over €730m will support the completion of Thessaloniki’s driverless metro line.

I read a very interesting book about this a year ago Riddle of the Labyrinth: The Quest to Crack an Ancient Code and the Uncovering of a Lost Civilisation.  It's only £3.29 for Kindle readers - £9.99 p/b.  It's about Alice Kober who has been unrecognised as contributing significantly to the ultimate decipherment of Linear B but explains in gripping detail the efforts over several decades.  The tough bit was that it appeared to be like no other known language.  Quite a detective story!
