Low risk of fire yesterday, according to civilprotection.gr

Doubt they can predict deliberate fire starts, if it was.

Doctor found guilty of issuing fake blindness certificates

A doctor working at a public hospital on a Greek island has been relieved from her duties after a disciplinary board found her guilty of issuing dozens of fake blindness certificates... that allowed the recipients to collect over 150,000 euros from the state in disability benefits. She is said to have issued these certificates between 1989 and 2011.

Doesn't say which island but Zakynthos must be a possibility.

Latest I've heard, the Harakas bridge will be officially opened on Thursday, 29 June. If anyone's interested in the official opening  :dunno:

Wonder if Nicholas Cage will come and save the day.
Actually in retrospect , sorry about that. Wouldn't want Kefalonia to have to put up with a sea mine and Nicholas Cage
;)

Another sea mine washed up on Kef, this one just outside Poros along the Skala coastal road around 13:00 local time today.

Good news: no sign of Mr Cage.
