Was on the south east coast yesterday visiting a relative when a monsoon like deluge came down. The High Street was a sea of DFL's ( down from Londoners) hiding under shop front awnings, luckily I was in the chippie waiting for me cod to be cooked when the worst of it came down.
Sounds like the whole town got a battering!

Never mind the nights will be closing in in two weeks and you will soon be able to buy Christmas cards in the shops.
