A video showing the moment three men passed through the blazes of a raging wildfire on the island of Thasos on Saturday with their car is making the internet round. The video was posted on Giannis Politakis’s Facebook page with the following description: ‘My totally insane friends, Dimitris Politakis, Antonis Psaltopoulos and Kostas Politakis (he is following on his motorbike)...

What total idiots. Had they got into trouble then it would have been the brave firemen and volunteer rescuers that would have risked their own lives retrieving the burned bodies of these irresponsible fools.

Today is the 73rd Anniversary of the day when Italian troups fired on German vessels near to Lixouri after Italy had  suurendered to The,Allies and so left the Axis with German.

F495 was sunk in that engagemnt and I was able to scuba dive on that wreck today.

The Germans took terrible revenge with massacre of around 1800 prisoners and the deaths 800 more with  sinking of the Ardena in dubious circumstances.
