George Papadopoulos: Ex-Trump advisor jailed in Russia inquiry

The former Trump advisor whose remarks in a London pub sparked the US inquiry into possible collusion with Russia has been sentenced to 14 days in jail.

Papadopoulos was also handed 12 months of supervised release, 200 hours of community service, and a fine of $9,500 (£7,350).

People being harassed by cold calls about PPI compensation or personal injury claims could gain some respite under new rules being introduced by the government.
