We always use FX and their rate today is 1.081 euros to the pound. No improvement until the current crisis is resolved.

Ionion Island Regional Council will be funding watercourses for sea planes off Levkas, Meganissi, Kefalonia and Ithaka. Haven't heard when it will happen.

What is behind the spread of a mysterious allergy to meat?
Thousands of people are developing life-threatening reactions to animal products – and a single tiny creature is to blame.

This syndrome affects thousands of people in the US and an uncertain but likely larger number worldwide, and after a decade of research, scientists have begun to understand what causes it. It is created by the bite of a tick, picked up on a hike or brushed against in a garden, or hitchhiking on the fur of a pet that was roaming outside.

Makes more sense - ticks have been around forever, why are they now making people allergic to meat?

Soldiers apologize for abusing dog

The two soldiers who were caught on video abusing a dog and throwing it down a cliff in a video that went viral on social media at the weekend apologized in a statement on Monday, saying it was an “unfortunate incident” and they did not mean to harm the animal.

Defense Minister Panos Kammenos had called for the strictest possible penalties to be imposed on the perpetrators.

Three convicted over animal abuse in western Greece

A military court in western Greece on Tuesday convicted three former soldiers of animal abuse over the torture of a dog at an outpost near the town of Konitsa at the end of 2017 when they were doing their military service.

Two defendants were given suspended 10-month sentences and the third a six-month prison term.

The convictions were based on a video showing the three abusing the dog and throwing it over a cliff.
