Seems to be a bit of a flap on regarding Kefalonian Lines. According to a firefighters' union, Kefalonian Lines allegedly 'refused to transport firefighters' - these are firefighters and equipment drafted in from elsewhere to fight the recent fires. From what I can make out, it all boils down to no-one informing KL that the firefighters intended to leave on the ship in question. Seems that, due to H&S requirements, all passengers have to be declared (e.g. if the ship goes down, rescuers have some clue how many and who's missing) and, in this case, the firefighters turned up unannounced. Or that's what I hear. According to KL, they have previously carried more than 3,000 officials re emergencies, e.g. 'quakes and fires, and are happy to do so. It just needs a bit of coordination.

Syros One Step Closer to Hollywood Deal

The government has moved one step closer to attracting foreign film productions to Greece after passing a bill in parliament recently that harmonizes the country’s legislative framework for film production with the relevant EU legislation, paving the way for a 6.5-million-euro investment to establish a Hollywood studio and film school on the island of Syros.

Must have sorted the problem, because several bus loads of firefighters and equipment arrived at Poros yesterday morning.
