Unconfirmed but heard an elderly woman was killed by her dog in Patras yesterday, other reports say she died naturally although the body has bite marks.

Also heard the taxydromeio at Kyllini was robbed this morning by two masked men who escaped on a motorbike with 3,000€.

Mystery deaths on Aegina being investigated

When police arrived, they found that the door had been broken into and evidence that drawers had been rifled through. They also found the remains of a small fire, which does not, however, justify the extent of the burns found on the charred bodies.

Fire experts are at the scene, while a coroner’s examination of the bodies is expected to shed more light on how the two died. The possibility of foul play is not being ruled out.

Rent your home out to a tourist… the easy way!
The third bailout helps those interested in leasing out their homes on a temporary basis cut through the red tape

The new rules mean that homeowners are no longer required to obtain a special operations label awarded by the Greek national Tourism Organization (GNTO).

Those who wish to lease out their property on a temporary basis need to register the details of the rentals online with the Ministry of Administrative Reform and e-Governance so as to obtain a registration number for the lease in accordance with Greek tax rules.

Russia-Turkey Turmoil to Send Tourism to Greece

Russian tourists who were planning to visit Turkey in the summer of 2016 will most likely be redistributed to Mediterranean countries such as Greece, Italy, Spain and Croatia.

In Greece, meanwhile, tourism professionals are rubbing their hands at the prospect.

Poop bag fine: Dog walkers face £100 penalty ticket if they fail to carry bag
Those who fail to pay the fine could face a penalty of up to £1,000 if the case is taken to court

Dog walkers in one council area can now be fined £100 if they leave the house without a poop bag.

The new powers introduced by Daventry District Council in Northamptonshire mean owners could be hit regardless of whether their pet fouls.
