If, like me, you use Firefox but not any Themes for it you might be pleasantly surprised by what's available. Here's one I installed today:

That's savage black kitten. Another you might like is animated kitty cat. Lots more Themes to choose from.

Greek club president banned for three years after gun incident on pitch

The PAOK Salonika president, Ivan Savvidis, have been banned from football stadiums for three years for storming on to the pitch with a gun in his waistband during a domestic game. The Greek league also stripped the club of three points, effectively ending their title chances.

Savvides, a Georgia-born businessman and former Russian state duma deputy, invaded the pitch when a goal for PAOK was disallowed against title contenders AEK Athens on 11 March.

Fifa had already warned that Greece could be suspended from world football if its national governing body failed to take “proper actions by the competent bodies to eradicate all sorts of violence in order to guarantee the smooth running of the national competitions”.

A spokesman for Savvidis told the Russian news agency Tass: “He didn’t threaten anyone with a gun. It isn’t forbidden to carry a weapon in Greece.”

The tycoon’s press office said he was licensed to carry a gun. Under Greek legislation, however, police are not allowed to enter football stadiums while armed.

Facebook 'ugly truth' growth memo haunts firm

A Facebook executive's memo that claimed the "ugly truth" was that anything it did to grow was justified has been made public, embarrassing the company.

The 2016 post said that this applied even if it meant people might die as a result of bullying or terrorism.

Heartbeat actor Bill Maynard dies at 89

Maynard - whose real name was Walter Williams - starred as the scruffy, eccentric poacher in the police drama for eight years, from 1992 to 2000, and was in its spin-off The Royal until 2003.

Other roles included Oh No, It's Selwyn Froggitt!, The Gaffer and In Sickness and In Health. He also made appearances in Carry On films Carry On At Your Convenience, Carry On Matron and Carry On Dick, and was Sergeant Beetroot in TV series Worzel Gummidge in 1980.

Outside of acting, Maynard tried his hand at singing - coming second in the British heat of the 1957 Eurovision Song Contest - and politics, standing as an independent against Tony Benn in the 1984 Chesterfield by-election.

Maynard's daughter-in-law said he had recently filmed an episode of BBC One quiz show Pointless, which was yet to air.

US to seek social media details from all visa applicants
The new rules would apply to virtually all applicants for immigrant and non-immigrant visas.

The State Department wants to require all US visa applicants to submit their social media usernames, previous email addresses and phone numbers, vastly expanding the Trump administration’s enhanced vetting of potential immigrants and visitors.

In documents to be published in Friday’s Federal Register, the department said it wants the public to comment on the proposed new requirements, which will affect nearly 15 million foreigners who apply for visas to enter the US each year.

Previously, social media, email and phone number histories were only sought from applicants identified for extra scrutiny, such as those who have travelled to areas controlled by terrorist organisations.

An estimated 65,000 people per year are in that category.

The new rules would apply to virtually all applicants for immigrant and non-immigrant visas.

This guy had an extremely varied career. Some of it quoted above, but what surprised me, was that he was married to Donald Campbell's widow.

Absolutely extraordinary.  Given you're far more likely to be killed by a crazed American with a gun than a terrorist this seems a bit over the top to me. And remember the NRA are opposing the very minor changes to gun law in Florida after the recent school shooting, while Pres Donald does nothing to implement his promises to teenage survivors.

Remember him standing for Chesterfield in 1984.I hadn't heard much about him over recent years. Imagine they will be paying tribute to him in the "Heartbeat village",of Goathland .They still get crowds of tourists up there whenever we have passed through there are always loads of buses parked up.
